The Coalville and District Group of The Ramblers Association is based around the ex-mining, and aptly named, town of Coalville in the North-West District of Leicestershire, in the midst of the rapidly developing National Forest. They offer a varied programme of walks consisting of weekend and midweek day walks and also have evening walks in the summer. On the day walks they take a packed lunch and usually have a pub stop on the route. They have a coach ramble and a weekend away every year. In 2016 the group enjoyed its 30th Anniversary.
They offer a full and varied programme of walks and social events throughout the year. Walks vary between 5-12miles in length, with something for everyone. Walking in Leicestershire, the Cotswolds, the Derbyshire Peak District and counties within the Midlands area are all included. Also offer Coach Rambles, Pub Walks, Hotel and YHA trips.

They offer a varied programme Saturday or Sunday each weekend of the year, and from May to August shorter midweek evening walks. Based in the town of Loughborough and the surrounding area, many of the walks are fairly local with Charnwoopd Forest Regional Park on our doorstep. Trips are arranged to the adjacent counties and the Peak District and they have an annual group weekend further afield.
