Area Quiz - Friday Oct 20th at the Linford in Newtown Linford (66 Main St LE6 0AD) 7.00 for a 7.30 prompt start.
Bar open and teas and coffees provided. £2 per person. Teams of about 4. Individuals can be made up into teams on the night
Volunteers’ Evening – November 6th (Monday) 7.30 at Park House, Stamford Street Glenfield, home of Glenfield Parish Council ( LE3 8DL)
We are now ready to organise volunteers to do actual research into lost ways. This gathering is an opportunity for all those who care about and wish to preserve our footpath network to come along and see if it is something for them. Walk the Viking Way for Children in Need

Charity Supper Tuesday 21st November (Leicester Ramblers in aid of East Midland Air Ambulance
The Chef and Spice, Hinckley Rd, Leicester LE5 3PG, 1900hrs
Parking available behind the restaurant - Price £15 per person all you can eat
The extensive Indian Buffet, includes options for Chinese Stir Fries, Italian Pizzas, English Fried Chicken / Lamb, Chips, Vegetables and Salads and a selection of sweets
They aim to raise > £500 on the night, based on a donation of £9 per person from the restaurant if they exceed 50 diners.
AGM 2017/18 – Sat January 27th 2018
The next AGM will be hosted by the Leicestershire & Rutland Walking Group, gather from 9.15 to start at 10.00
Light refreshments will be provided and there will be a short walk at about 1.30 for those wishing to go along. If doing so please bring a packed lunch.
